Think of it as an HVAC maintenance program on steroids. With it, there’s no more guesswork about how your systems are performing and whether maintenance is needed. Sensors are installed to automatically monitor what’s happening every minute, of every day.

The sensors are web-enabled and send a constant stream of data to the cloud through your home’s Wi-Fi network. The General’s technicians review the data in real time in our control center. With the information, they can do the 3 P’s:

The success rate is really quite astonishing. The data allows the General to predict and prevent up to 80% of failures before they happen. When there is a system alert a technician is dispatched to your home. You will never be charged a diagnostic fee, even in the rare case it turns out to be a false alarm. The information also lets us know when it’s time to schedule an HVAC service visit.

The data gathered is always available to the homeowner as well. In the case of a new air conditioner installation, the monitors will provide a report verifying the system is functioning correctly. You will also receive a performance report following any AC or furnace repairs. A monthly system report and summary will be emailed to you letting you know how the system performed in the preceding month, including energy usage.
